Key to Dementia Care

This is our foundation course; a practical introduction to dementia and how to work with people who have a dementia.

From communication, to practical bathing, and toileting, this day long course will orientate or update the delegate on state-of-the-art care recommendations. We stress Person Centred Practice in all interactions and illustrate learning with real workplace anecdotes. The delegates will leave the course with a rounded knowledge of how interaction and tasks must go hand in hand, plus a basic understanding of dementia and how it effects the brain.

Suitable for all members of staff, from front line carers to nurses to management.
