Course Description

All About Dementia offers a bespoke course to suit domiciliary and residential care staff, on the prevention of distressed reactions and how to interpret behaviour as a form of communication. The course examines how elders with dementia become distressed and how escalation can be prevented. Prevention is a team effort, and requires cultural change by the provider. This workshop walks the delegates through the process of observation, understanding, brainstorming and planning prevention.
